£129,375 - £144,900

About the role

A key part of our vision is to ensure Salford is a place where everyone can enjoy the best opportunities that our city has to offer, have a fulfilling and productive adulthood, and are able to manage their health well into their older age. We want people across Salford to experience health on a parallel with the current ‘best’ in Greater Manchester, and for the gaps between communities to be narrower than they have ever been before.

Our new Executive Director - Adult Social Care and Health Partnerships will maintain our relentless focus on empowering communities and drive up outcomes. Reporting to the Chief Executive, this role is responsible for the full range of Adults Services, including adult social care, people and communities, commissioning and public health. It's a fantastic opportunity to truly integrate your professional practice in the corporate agenda, working closely with colleagues from across the Council.

As the statutory DASS, you’ll work closely with the council’s corporate management team, health and political leaders. You’ll be a visible and influential member of the Salford Care Organisation leadership team, providing assurance on the statutory duties and progress of the delivery of adult social care operations through the ICO to drive up social care and health outcomes, ensuring Salford is a place where everyone can thrive. You’ll play a key role in the Greater Manchester Integrated Care Partnership (ICP), working across organisational boundaries to shape the health and care system of the future.

We’re seeking an inspirational leader with proven leadership success in adult services within a large and complex organisation. You’ll have a proven track record and passion for delivering strong outcomes for adults and older people to allow them to thrive. A courageous and resilient leader, with the ability to deliver change, transformation and innovation, you’ll also have excellent collaboration and partnership skills.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a high performing local authority and integrated system. We are a strongly values-based organisation with relationship-based practice which places the voice of the person at the heart of everything we do. It’s an opportunity to work across a large footprint and make a real difference to people’s lives in an exciting and transforming city.
